Beautiful colours, good quality pieces, however the lack of whimsy pieces was disappointing. In fact, had I known there wasnt any special shapes I would have bought from another wooden puzzle company. This puzzle would have rated 5 stars otherwise.

It was definitely an exercise in patience and I felt like throwing in the towel many times, but once I finished it I felt so accomplished.
The finished result was beautiful and the puzzle was well done and really showed the vibrant colors of the motive. Would highly recommend.

Bought this as a gift after finding the same puzzle in a hotel in Ucluelet. The 8x10 size is perfect for a coffee table and can be done in about an hour over a cup of tea. The quality of the wood pieces is fantastic.

I loved this puzzle, the cut was so much fun, and the colors helped a lot! I would recommend a variety of colors for first time people who are used to more traditional cuts. It's definitely different than most I've put together, and in a good way. It's nice to have a unique puzzling experience. Only things I wasn't that thrilled with were the feel of the back of the pieces, rough feeling, and all the black, which was good and bad, I miss seeing the wood grain on the back, although the stark difference between picture and the rest of the puzzle was part of the charm as well. My hands and puzzling surface did indeed get a lot of black dust, but I've had that happen with other puzzle brands. I get the feeling that the black back is most likely there to hide laser burning marks, but if it is I'm not one to worry about laser burning, although I know some do. The smell wasn't great either, not the lovely woody smell that many laser cut wood puzzles can have. But the puzzle experience over all was good and I would definitely consider ordering more. Oh, and the box was also of good quality and I like the magnet closure on puzzles. Also the picture inside the box was a nice surprise, lovely quality.
