Fun and beautiful, and very difficult! All the pieces fit together and many of the pieces are very similar, so it was easy to put a piece in the wrong place and not notice until much later!

Gifted this to a dear friend who is a puzzle fiend. Currently being solved at a rate of 3 pieces a day. It annoys and frustrates but you can also see the satisfaction and joy when she does get one piece right. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that I haven’t seen her experience while solving a 1000 piece puzzle in a long time. The price tag does seem steep but you’re paying for the experience not the actual pieces. A definite must have for seasoned puzzle solvers. Would not buy this for beginners until they have developed a good sorting strategy for 1000 - 2000 piece puzzles. They’ll be happier with a Ravensburger.

I titled this puzzle 'Trouble' because the fact that it had no edge pieces (evident at the outset) because all the pieces were within a millimetre of being exactly the same size and shape (only realized when about one fifth had been positioned) meant that one had to focus hard on the actual image of each piece to ensure that it matched all the neighbouring pieces, and careful cutting had made sure that often pieces matched two or three surrounding ones, but not all. 'Wrong - try again!'

This puzzle was very difficult for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Many times I thought I had it right only to realize that one piece was wrong and figure out out where it actually belonged. Most of the pieces looked exactly alike, hence the difficulty.
