Richard Brodeur
Richard Brodeur is a Canadian artist known for his evocative depictions of nostalgic Canadiana, especially through his “Childhood Memories” series, which captures the simple joys of children playing hockey on frozen ponds and backyard rinks.
Working with oils, acrylics, and watercolors, Brodeur’s art reflects both his love for the natural beauty of Canada and his personal history as a professional hockey player. A former NHL goaltender, Brodeur played for the Quebec Nordiques and Vancouver Canucks, where he notably led the Canucks to the Stanley Cup Finals. He has since turned to art as a meditative escape. Now living on Vancouver Island, he draws inspiration from the stunning landscapes around him, continuing to create vibrant works that resonate with hockey fans and art lovers alike.
